Forty is coming. Forty is inching on me with a waistline that is reminding me of why they call this middle age. How much harder it is these days to stay in my jeans. Forty, with that nagging question of why I still care what people think. Didn’t someone say I’d grow out of that? Forty, with the existential questions of what it all means.
So, for the next 40 days, I’m going to celebrate the things I’ve learned along the way and am still learning. It may be a great recipe, a personal journal entry written along-the-way (I’ve been journaling since I was 7!), deep thoughts or even a prayer. It’s forty days of heart and soul because, at 40, life is only beginning.
